Tempo traveller hire in Goa: why groups choose it
Goa is one of the most popular group destinations in India. Weddings, company offsites, friends' reunions and family holidays all bring people in together, and keeping a group in one vehicle is far easier than managing several cabs on narrow coastal roads. A tempo traveller keeps everyone and their bags together, and it usually costs less per person than booking separate cars.
Our Goa fleet covers 9, 12, 16 and 20 seater Tempo Travellers, along with Force Urbania and Force Winger models. The table above shows live fares for popular routes by seat size, so use the seat selector to compare before you book.
Which seat size do you need?
The most common mistake with group travel in Goa is booking by head count alone. Most groups arrive with large suitcases, and the rear seats are often needed for bags.
9 seater. Good for six to eight adults with luggage. It is the easiest size for Goa's narrower roads and suits short airport runs and beach days.
12 seater. A popular choice for family groups of eight to ten people, with reasonable space for bags.
16 seater. Works well for larger families and small office groups. Check your pickup road first, because longer vehicles need more room to turn.
20 seater. Best for wedding guests and company teams. For larger numbers, combine a Tempo Traveller with a mini bus.
Force Urbania. A more modern choice for groups who want extra comfort, particularly for airport transfers and corporate guests.
If your group sits between two sizes, choose the larger one. An extra seat is more useful than a stack of bags in the aisle.
Getting around Goa with a large vehicle
Large vehicles need a little more planning here than in other holiday destinations.
Many villas in Anjuna, Assagao, Siolim and Morjim are on narrow village lanes, and some homestays have tight gates. Before your trip, share a Google Maps pin, and tell us if the road is narrow. If a large vehicle cannot reach the door, we can agree a nearby main road pickup or suggest smaller vehicles for the last stretch.
Parking is limited around Baga, Calangute and other busy beach roads in peak season, so your driver may drop your group close to the entrance and wait at a nearby spot. Agree a clear meeting point and time before everyone leaves the vehicle.
The bridges across the Mandovi and Zuari rivers are the slowest part of many cross-state drives, so build in extra time if you need to reach an airport or a wedding venue at a set time.
Airport pickups for groups
Check whether your group is landing at Dabolim (GOI) or Manohar International at Mopa (GOX), because the two airports are about 57 km apart. For groups arriving on different flights, tell us each flight time. We can plan one larger pickup, or more than one trip, based on the gap between arrivals.
For large wedding and company arrivals, share your schedule early, so that vehicles can be planned around your flights.
Popular group trips from Goa
Goa to Gokarna (145 km) is a popular short group break, combining temple visits and beaches.
Goa to Belagavi (114 km) suits group connections to Belagavi airport or rail.
Goa to Kolhapur (197 km) is often booked for family temple visits to the Mahalakshmi Temple.
Goa to Mumbai (542 km) and Goa to Bangalore (605 km) are long full-day drives. Build in meal and rest stops, particularly with older passengers or children.
Sightseeing with a group in Goa
For a full day out, keep the plan simple. North Goa groups can combine Fort Aguada, Calangute and Chapora Fort. A heritage day can pair Fontainhas with Old Goa and a spice farm near Ponda. South Goa works best with a very early start, as the distance is longer.
Best time to book
November to February is peak season, and the Christmas and New Year fortnight is the busiest time of all. Large vehicles are limited and fill up first, so book as early as you can. Wedding season is also busy in Goa. During the monsoon, from June to September, roads are quieter but rain can slow long trips, so leave extra time.

What's included in your tempo traveller fare
The fare table shows distance, km included and the extra km rate for each seat size. Outstation fares include the driver allowance, with a minimum billable distance. Tolls, state permits and parking are charged at actuals. The review step shows a full breakdown before you pay, so check it before you confirm.
Luggage guide for group trips
Plan for your bags as well as your seats. Larger suitcases can take up the rear seats, particularly on smaller models. If your group has more than one large bag per person, move up one seat size. Wedding outfits, instruments and sports gear need extra space, so mention them in the requirements box when you book.
Your tempo traveller driver
Our drivers are verified, and your trip details reach you on WhatsApp. Long group trips need sensible breaks, so plan rest and meal stops on routes such as Goa to Mumbai or Bangalore. At the start of the day, agree the plan with your driver, including your first stop and the meeting point at each stop.
